The servant boy shook his head, looking up as Xanthia nodded to Grilvix, emerging from her hiding place, wolfish tail flicking delicatly behind her. Her paws were quiet over the ground, and the human surpressed a shudder at the sight of her, silvery-blue ears erect and alert.
"Chousen, what happened?" she questioned, voice firm, almost uncaring, but there was the softest hint of concern, a mother who had just seen her child fall from their bike, or fall from the bed.

So the beast knew the boy - Chousen, his name was - and seemingly Grilvix as well. Topaz couldn't shake off the feeling she recognized the bluish features of the wolf-woman, but no one in particular came to mind.
The tiny black wings that grew off her shoulders fluttered involuntarily; she wanted to fight already, and almost whined out loud from the desire. She had two (assuming the woman could fight) worthy opponents in front of her, but something held her back. Was it because of the unfamiliar setting? Looking around now, the area secluded itself in darkness. Her sight wasn't too bad to begin with, but not knowing your surroundings was dangerous, that much she knew.
But didn't the same apply to the others? She didn't know; maybe they had ventured to this strange place before. A thought: should she just walk up and talk to them? That's what a normal person would do. She frowned at her suggestion. As if she was normal. All she wanted was a good fight.
So she decided. Fingers swept over the red mark on her cheek and dragged a trail of magic. She pointed her pressed index and middle fingers in the direction of the trio, but her aim landed on Chousen. If he really was such a weakling was something she'd find out on her own - rather, the bullet of black magic designed to attract and suck out the body's blood would do the finding out.

“Nothing.” Grilvix quickly replied to Xanthia. “Well, it’s just Trixstan’s getting far too attached to this world.” He sighed. Indeed the trickster had been coming and going from world to world for a long time now but this world, it was like a drug for him. Trixstan had spent 3 days here already without good reason and didn’t even leave a note when he left. Well it should have been obvious; this was the world Trixstan came from after all. For some reason though, the jester’s personality was effected greatly by any world.
“Actually I have to talk to you about him-.” Grilvix stopped abruptly and looked up directly at where Topaz was hiding. Like hell he was going to let her attack first. Not as fast as Trixstan, Grilvix still could react fast enough to slice the old shack in half from left to right in a few quick seconds. The attack wasn’t meant to harm Topaz, as Grilvix was sure she had already avoided being cut in half too; well she was more agile than he was being smaller than him. Well hopefully with her having to dodge she lost concentration over whatever spell she was casting. Grilvix had a bad feeling in his gut though. The little girl was, or could be, smarter than she looked.

Xanthia nodded, turning er head when Grilvix moved, and the moment her second in command even began to move so did she, lightly picking up Chousen and moving with him, the silver haired human giving a paind little whimper.
when he was on the ground again she crouched low, ears pinned back against her head, tail raised, and her lips pulled back over her teeth as she let out a low snarl, surprised that the girl would attack comrades for any reason other than pre-planned training.
Chousen bit his lip, holding a hand over his shoulder, small body trembling violently.

The bullet sped forward to miss its target, and her hiding place split into pieces against Grilvix's blade. Finally, things were getting interesting. She'd already flitted backward a few paces when she saw his blur of a figure coming. No way was she going to let herself be injured so early in the fight. And now that magic could freely be at her disposal, she could play as much as she wanted.
Seeing the woman carry Chousen to safety, she assumed the boy really was useless and couldn't avoid an oncoming attack on his own. Well, whatever. He fell from her interest quickly enough. Now she focused on the man opposing her, and her wings flickered in excitement. She spoke in a loud teasing voice, and a wide, maniacal grin spread across her face, one that didn't fit her baby features in the least.
"Nice to see you again, Mr. Girly!"

“It’s been too long Topaz.” He grinned in return to the young lady with blue hair. Well Topaz hadn’t change at all since they last met; her love of battle was strong as ever. But this was no place to have a fight, nor was it the time to test a comrade’s strength. He stood relaxed yet mentally alert just encase Topaz tried to attack again.
“This isn’t the time or place for training however Topaz.” Grilvix wasted no time in idle chatter and got to the point of the matter quickly. “If you want to play then you will have to find someone else. I won’t be responsible for babysitting you.”
He dismissed his weapon; the blade vanished instantly in a cloud of black smoke, before looking over to Xanthia and Chousen. Seeing the servant boy so petrified made the nobody frown. Looking back to Topaz he spoke in a very serious yet dark tone.
“However.” He began, golden-orange eyes almost glowing in the darkness. “I don’t enjoy slicing up little girls but if you really want to fight me I won’t be responsible for what will happen. See I don’t think I can control my urge to kill in this world.” He smiled just ever so slightly, but he was being too lenient. He was too overconfident now and this wasn’t a good thing if Topaz really did wish to fight.

Topaz's grin grew, a terrifying look. "Kill? Kill me? Kill me?" Her delighted laughter mixed with an amused snarl. The black wings she wore flattened against her shoulders in vigilance. "I'd like to see you try! Training? What's that?! I just want to have a little fun. Come on, Girly, you don't want to play with me?"
Already her fingers were swiping across her cheek a second time, but now they pointed to the ground. She didn't plan to do anything just yet; after all, Grilvix's weapon had disappeared and that was no fun. Magic bubbled at her fingertips, waiting to be unleashed. If taunting him didn't work, she'd gladly make the first move.

Grilvix chuckled in amusement. Oh he really loved this little one’s spirit; she wasn’t boring at all and had the guts of a true warrior. Perhaps this world had affected him too for without even knowing it he summoned his sword once again.
“Very well. Lets play.” He agreed with an excited look in his eyes. He would play her game; he needed a good workout anyway. The lack of hunting heartless had made him rather sloppy of late.
“Ladies first” He gestured for her to make the first move, his mental state alert and ready for just about anything.

Her eyes widened crazily at his gesture, and her laugh resounded throughout the area. Whipping her arm up and in an arc in front of her, a black ribbon of magic cut the air. The ribbon grew in length and width suddenly and surrounded her in wall-like structure, mimicking a barrier. It seemed as though she threw the wall up to defend herself, but its actual ability was to enclose her enemies in a bubble, designed to confuse them and then attack.
The walls had a ceiling, from where sparks of indistinguishable shape began to downpour. She made them solid for Grilvix's sake; he should be able to cut them away if he was quick enough. Topaz didn't want the battle to end too soon.

Xanthia shook her head, ears flattening to the sides, se didn't have time for such things, not when there was someone bleeding next to her, the sharp tang of blood making her nose twitch, instinct driving her to want to kill the easy meal next to her.
But she resisted, easy enough, she was used to this world after all. her tail flicked again, swiping against Chousen's leg in a reassuring way and while she was tempted to go and fight (the full moon and glowing blossoms would serve her powers well) it was just one more thing she did not do.
she sat back now, lower body poinsed like a dog who was begging, but she draped one arm over a leg in an oddly human gesture, pointed nails drumming against her sturdy fur as she watched the fight, ears swiveling to catch every detail.

Indeed the magic did seem to form the shape of a typical barrier. But Grilvix was too proud and over confident to take Topaz seriously at this point. He only saw it as a barrier and thought it had only that purpose. With a flick of his wrist he got into attack mode, sword swung back a little ready for a charge attack. The blade humming as if thirsting for blood itself.
“Your little barrier won’t stop my sword.” He mocked before rushing in for the attack. Jumping at the last minute he brought his sword up and then swung it straight down, aiming for the top of said barrier as from experience that is were it is normally weakest.

Her eyes squinted as her grin grew yet again. He fell for the disguise of the walls, though she wasn't expecting him to. A light flashed when the blade hit an invisible something just inches from her head. His sword only slashed against the interior of the wall, no where near harming her. But the arrow-shaped sparks were close to inflicting damage to Grilvix.
Sticking her tongue out like a child and then laughing, she leered at him. "Look up!"

As metal met the dark magic that held the wall together Grilvix could feel that something wasn’t right. He pulled back but not quickly enough to avoid those sparks. He frowned as he felt something sharp scrape against his arm. Luckily the damage wasn’t too bad and he could still hold his sword.
Look up she said. Was she trying that old trick just to tease him? No he could feal some kind of danger. So he looked up just in time to see the aerial attack. A loud crackle sounded as metal hit spark, slashing one way before jumping back to avoid another. Not far enough as he felt something piece through his back, almost making him loose balance.
“Hahah. Guess I shouldn’t take you too lightly after all.” He laughed as he stood up straight, his composure returning to a serious expression on his face. It was as if he couldn’t even feal the wounds on his body. “Are you too afraid to fight me yourself?”

She didn't say anything as her arm whipped up again, hand pointing to the sky. A black substance formed on this one while the other hand maintained her dual cage-shield. Her insane-like expression remained in place as the substance formed into what looked like the silhouette of a raven.
"Magic is so much more fun to fight with!" As she spoke, the creature flew off her fingertips and aimed for Grilvix. Its open beak yearned for his bones, and would mercilessly tear through skin and muscle to get it. The bullet arrows continued to fall from the sky, some changing from a solid form to one of liquid so it would burn instead of cut its target.

Grilvix watched her as she began to summon forth more magic, carefully observing her every move. There was no way to stop the next attack from being launched however and the only thing Grilvix could do was take a step back and slice the bird in half just as he did with the shack. Cutting the bird from beak to tail before twisting his wrist to widely cut upwards in a diagonal direction. The arrows crackled and clinked as they ricocheted off his sword. As for the ones that seemed to liquefy slashing through them would be too foolish now.
It was now or never but he didn’t know if it would work. Swinging his sword around he pressed two fingers on the base of the silver blade, closing his eyes for a moment to concentrate as he allowed his sword to absorb part of his own energy and power.
“Lets see how long you can keep this up.” His eyes opened, glazed over with a true look of a warrior. His sword glowed almost like the sun, hot like fire but it did not even singe him. He rushed forward again, the tip of his sword striking the barrier once again but it did not budge either way. Energy danced around the red hot blade like fire yet yellow like the sun and almost as blinding as Grilvix forced the sword to piece through the barrier.
