Ko sat in an out cove of the vast coral reef, his tail fin happily waving to a tune in his own head.
The scaly fin was a beautiful blue color with just hints of purple when it hit the sun light. It reminded him of a fish he had once seen in a book called a Japanese fighting fish, more commonly known as a beta.
For some reason this world brought joy to the scientist. Perhaps it was all the strange new creature's he could learn about, or the fact that a lot of these creature's were actually smaller than he was. Of course there were the exceptions of the whales and sharks, but he really didn't mind that he was smaller than them, because almost everything in this world was.
"Just look at the world around you..." He sang a bit of the song and then picked up a shell and after examining all the ridges, and the bright pink hue, he tossed the shell.
Ko stretched out his arms and then laid down against the sun warm coral. He scratched at one of the few scars on his chest and then closed his eyes just relaxing. "Such wonderful things surround you" He sang a little more of the song.
Yup this was way better than the world in which he turned into a fairy.

This was most certainly not her favorite place to be. No, not at all...
She didn't like her complete and total lack of legs, and even the sleek tail she was granted did nothing to pull the nobody from her foul mood. Giving it an expirimental flick she frowned when, instead of it swinging side to side it gave an odd twist, really, a seal? why a seal? she was no playful thing, no innocent form of life! she felt as if her dignity had been stolen away from her!
Even less dignifing in her opinion was how exposed she felt, chest covered by simple large silver shells, truly she needed to remember to bring better clothing next time, the items granted here were simply ludicrus.
She made a mental note not to return to this world unless she truly needed to, and was about to make her first trip to the ocean her last when she heard a very familier voice.
It took her a moment to figure out the workings of her tail, how to move about but after a few harsh failures she stopped making a complete fool of herself and managed to actually begin getting somewhere.
When Ko was within earshot she frowned, then shook her head. "How you can seem so........content, here is beyond me" she sighed.

Ko let out a little giggle? Did he actually just giggle? This world must have had more of an effect on him than he thought. He shook his head. "Darling it's better, down where it's wetter." He rolled onto his stomach and started to nestle into the coral. He could just fall asleep here."Up on the shore they work all day. Out in the sun they slave away."

Xanthia tilted her head slowly, blinking, eyes rather blank. Clearly her third in command was sick...
"uhm...Ko?" she asked slowly, "are....are you getting enough air?" she gave her tail a flick, stopping beside the smaller nobody. "because...you seem...ill..."

Ko turned and looked to Xanthia quickly. "I am not Ill, Madam. Why are you thought to think so?" He brought a hand to his head. "Do I look I'll?"

Xanthia blinked slowly, "you...just seem to be acting odd..." the blue haired nobody shrugged, giving her tail another flick, still getting the hang of it. "you're good at this..." she mumbled, "I find the water a bit...awkward..." she admitted, giving up and treading water.

He nodded. "I don't know why, it's odd." He sat up and looked away from her almost topless chest. "What are you doing here Madam?"

"I've never been to this world before, I needed to explore it" she said softly, looking around once more as if somehow looking at it again would somehow make it more appealing. It didn't however, and she found herself sighing again, watching as the shimmering silver bubbled drifted up, and she reached a hand out to catch the biggest one, holding it gently before allowing it to pop, shattering into smaller bubbles.

Ko got up to stand eye level with her. "I could show you around, if you haven't already." He let his tail move back and forth slowly so he could remain in one place.

Xanthia nodded slowly, copying Ko in hopes of learning how to keep some of her dignity in this world. "that would be very kind Ko" she stated, blinking at the other nobody and offering a small smile.

Ko nodded and he began to swim towards a less denser part of the reef. "The question is, where shall we start?" He took a few moments and then led her to another out cove where dozens of eggs laid. "This is where many fish come to lay their young."

Xanthia followed, if a bit awkwardly, bending over to look closely at the objects. "how interesting" she murmered, tracing the tip of her finger over a particularly large one, feeling the egg give just a bit under her finger, only to reform when she pulled her hand away once again.

Ko watched her closely, lightly nervous that she touched the egg. "Be careful." He murmured. He quickly examined each egg and then smiled. "Shall we move on?"

Xanthia nodded, at last seeming to get the hang of her fins, as now when she turned it was less of a pitiful wriggling attempt at getting herself facing the opposit direction, and more of a gentle turn.

Ko clapped his hands. "You are quite the fast learner." He started to swim around her smiling. "Wonder if you can keep up?" After he made one final circle he sped off in the direction she was facing.
